This strong debut offering reviewed global airplay and opened the door for a number of internal performances including opening for Boney James.

Second Light is the follow up to Jim Savitt's acclaimed Hear and Now CD and offers a collection of 10 new original melodic instrumental compositions. This disc features a blend of styles ranging from Smooth and Contemporary Jazz and includes elements of World, Urban and funk grooves. The opening track is a genre defining mix of World Music rythms with contemporary jazz melodies and improvisation. The album then continues through various settings which feature Jim’s electric and nylon acoustic guita playing. Second Light was recorded in NY City and features guest sax appearances by Lanny Ward and Randy Villars as well as keyboard work by Ted Cruz. The album has received global airplay and great reviews within the Contemporry Jazz community.
